Random stat fluctuations hit both teams throughout the game. Nobody is consistent here.

Lore

The Watch Station was a decommissioned early-warning radar facility before The Almighty Ice arrived. Now it's a hockey arena. The conversion was never documented. The radar equipment is gone but the building's original purpose—watching the sky—seems to persist. The aurora borealis interferes with the arena's systems in ways that Le Council's technicians describe as 'not electrical exactly.' Stats fluctuate. Instruments disagree with each other. A shot that should have gone wide curves in. A save that was clean somehow wasn't. The Flicker affects both teams equally, which Le Council considers fair. The Auroras consider it home.

The Building

A repurposed military structure—angular, utilitarian, metal-clad. The exterior is corrugated steel painted a faded green that's slowly being eaten by rust and frost. A decommissioned radar dome sits on the roof, no longer spinning but not entirely still either. The main entrance is through what was once a vehicle bay, now fitted with glass doors that fog constantly. Inside, the seating is retrofitted—stadium chairs bolted to concrete platforms that weren't originally designed for spectators. The ceiling is high and industrial, crisscrossed with catwalks and ductwork. Banks of fluorescent lights supplement the natural light that streams in through skylights, but the light quality shifts unpredictably. Sometimes green. Sometimes purple. The Watch Station is functional, not beautiful. It doesn't need to be. The sky is the show.
